Our 2022 issue comes to you on the heels of a seasonal change. In fact, this whole year has felt like an unending season of change itself. Between these never-ending shifts, there is art and poetry.

We hope you’ll connect with the tender and the sacred in the poems selected for this issue. In them, there are flowers, singing, and reminiscing - the act of taking stock of what’s sweet, an act we’d all do well to give consideration as we prepare for the hibernation of winter.

The energy of fresh starts can bring a project like Maiden Magazine together quickly, as was true with Issue No. 1. However, it takes a slow tenacity to replicate good results, and with the support of these poets, we believe we’ve done it again.

As you settle in to read Issue No. 2, we invite you to ask yourself what you want to see grow in the next season, and to remember that good things take their time.
